Piaxo has opened a new office in ISHO Timișoara, marking an important step in the company’s expansion and strengthening its capability to deliver complex automotive engineering programs from Romania.
The new office marks the establishment of Piaxo’s Engineering Excellence Center in Timișoara, expanding the company’s delivery capacity for complex automotive software, systems, and validation programs. The location reinforces Piaxo’s long-term commitment to structured growth within one of Romania’s most established automotive R&D hubs.
Leadership for the Timișoara Engineering Center
Ciprian Toma has been appointed Head of Location for Piaxo’s Engineering Excellence Center in Timișoara and is leading the operational setup and development of the new site. He brings extensive automotive industry experience, with a strong background in building and scaling engineering organizations.
Throughout his career, he has been directly involved in establishing and growing multiple R&D sites, scaling local teams from small core groups into complex organizations, and leading multi-site teams of over 100 engineers.
His experience covers end-to-end responsibility for automotive software and system development, including OEM-facing delivery, cross-site coordination, and technical alignment across complex programs. In previous roles, he combined strategic leadership with operational execution, overseeing organizational setup, delivery performance, and long-term team development.

A consistent focus throughout Ciprian’s career has been the development of strong engineering cultures — environments where teams operate with clarity, accountability, and a shared commitment to quality.
In Timișoara, he is responsible for shaping both the local organization and the delivery model for complex automotive projects executed from this location.
The ISHO office supports Piaxo’s broader strategy of expanding its engineering footprint in key automotive regions, strengthening capabilities across software development, systems engineering, integration, and validation activities.
With the new location operational and dedicated leadership in place, Piaxo continues to scale its engineering capacity in Romania while maintaining structured delivery standards aligned with Tier 1 and OEM expectations.
